Year 7 to Year 10

Students in these transitional years are typically going through many changes, physical, cognitive, emotional and social and all of these affect their attitude to many people in ‘their world’. They have a stronger sense of strengths and weaknesses and use questioning of establishment as a tool of inquiry.
The religious curriculum in these years explores the human understanding of the mystery of God or ‘other’ including insights from other world religions. They develop an understanding of good and evil and the Church’s responses to both. They learn about sources of inspiration and strength for believers and what Christian vocation might look and feel like.
Year 7 – What beliefs underpin Christianity?
Year 8 – What does Christian life call us to be and do?
Year 9 – How is Jesus an example of God’s love?
Year 10 – What is God’s universal message and appeal?
