Maddison Turner, a Year 11 student at Saint Mary's has found a unique way that her school's work experience program can benefit her career.
She is completing a Certificate III in Retail this year, with the goal of using the experience to aim for a leadership position at the job and she has held for the past year: retail assistant at Best and Less in the Kingaroy Mall.
"I was thinking of getting a management position there eventually, and this program is going to help me with that," Maddison explained.
While still at school, Maddison is also pursuing a Certificate II in Health, which she hopes will prepare her for an eventual career in aged care nursing.
